The Aluminum Carbon Filters Are Made with a Carbon (coconut shell based) impregnated pad called Carbon Polysorb. Aluminum Carbon Filters are used Non Ducted Range Hoods WHEN ONLY ONE FILTER IS NEEDED. The Aluminum Carbon filter is 2 filters in one. This filter is designed to filter grease on one side of the filter and help eliminate smoke, chemicals, and odors. THESE FILTERS ARE NOT WASHABLE! This filter should be changed every 3 to 6 months.
