The Aluminum Carbon Filters Are Made with a Carbon (coconut shell based)  impregnated pad called Carbon Polysorb. Aluminum Carbon Filters are used Non Ducted Range Hoods WHEN ONLY ONE FILTER IS NEEDED. The Aluminum Carbon filter is 2 filters in one. This filter is designed to filter grease on one side of the filter and help eliminate smoke, chemicals, and odors. THESE FILTERS ARE NOT WASHABLE!
